Nonlinear Acoustics

The monograph presents both the fundamentals of nonlinear acoustics and its recently developed sections. Among them are intense wave beams, excitation of waves and currents, acoustic resonators, nonlinearities with features, selectively absorbing and dispersing media, strongly nonlinear waves. New mathematical models, approximate analytical methods and exact solutions are described. Applications to hydroacoustics, mechanics of shock waves, medicine are indicated. The book contains monographic material, but is also useful as a textbook.
