Abstract

This textbook is devoted to a fundamental topic for developing mathematical thinking: identical equalities and inequalities. It formulates and proves the most important algebraic, trigonometric, logarithmic, hyperbolic and other numerical and functional identical equalities and inequalities used in solving a wide range of mathematical problems. Examples of different types of problems (more than 430 problems) are provided, in which identities and inequalities are used to perform transformations and construct the necessary estimates.

This book will serve as an informational and reference accompaniment for lectures and seminars on mathematical analysis and algebra, will broaden students' horizons, and will be useful for homework assignments. The manual contains the necessary theoretical material and problems with solutions.
