This publication is intended primarily for students specializing in geometry and theoretical mechanics. It may be useful to specialists in geometry, theoretical mechanics, the theory of mechanisms, structural mechanics, and even to geometry enthusiasts.
This book is based on lectures in natural science courses taught at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
This textbook provides a more thorough presentation of kinematics and statics than is typically provided by mechanics, raises contemporary geometric issues, and leads to their investigation. It examines a number of topics not previously addressed in either Russian or international textbooks. The textbook is provided with numerous illustrations, exercises, and problems.
