The authors of this textbook are the Director of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Historical and Philological Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.A. Tishkov and a well-known specialist in the field of ethnopolitical science, Doctor of Sciences (History) , Professor Yu.P. Shabaev. It was based on a course of lectures given at the Faculty of Political Science of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
