Dramatic Dictionary

The publication contains a unique work - the first theatre reference book in Russia containing materials on the history of Russian theatre and dramatic literature of the mid- to second half of the 18th century, and also being a source of information on the activities of thirty-six graduates and employees of Moscow University - playwrights, translators and publishers of works for the stage, organizers of student theatres, actors, singers, who made a great contribution to the development of Russian artistic culture of their time. The book contains an edition of the text of the "Dramatic Dictionary" in modern spelling and comments on each dictionary entry. Illustrative material is taken from open sources.

The publication is intended for students, postgraduates and young researchers studying the history of Russian stage art and the history of Moscow University in the second half of the 18th century.
