Abstract

The textbook treats the key issues of the theory and practice of functional stylistics in the space of intercultural communication: it examines the main parameters of modern innovations in language and culture; principles of interaction between cultures; text analysis from the standpoint of a synergetic approach within the framework of intercultural communication. The section "Workshop on Communicative-Functional Stylistics" in English contributes to the professionalization of the theoretical course. It contains a system of problem-based and creative tasks aimed at developing independent thinking, forming the skills and abilities of successful intercultural communication based on understanding the subtleties and hidden meanings of a foreign-language text.
